Customer Setup Overview

Our customer is a major financial corporate with operations covering the whole of Africa. Their network setup consists of huge headquarters containing the mission critical services connected to many remote offices via a global service provider. Our customer network infrastructure is built mainly using Cisco Data Center, Routing & Switching and Security products and technologies.

Business Challenges

  • Data center architecture is not resilient.
  • Data is sent insecurely over service providers.
  • Traffic routing over WAN cause availability and quality of service issues.

How We Helped

During the project engagement our consultants utilized their extensive technical knowledge and business experience to:

  • Identify and address the data center migration prerequisites.
  • Migrate the data center from four Cisco Catalyst 6500 switches to four Cisco Nexus 7000.
  • Use the Cisco Nexus 7000 VDC feature to deploy Data Center/Core collapsed model.
  • Use the Cisco Nexus 7000 OTV feature to virtually extend the data center between two separate locations.
  • Deploying Cisco Catalyst 6500 switches as a data center service layer.
  • Secure the data center servers using multiple Cisco ASA.
  • Secure traffic over service providers using Cisco GETVPN, DMVPN and Certificate Authority technologies.
  • Use a combination of static and dynamic routing protocols to achieve highly available traffic engineering for traffic over WAN.

Benefits for Business

We have assisted our customer to gain the following benefits:
