Oracle Database Administrator (DBA)

The ideal candidate will be responsible for the performance, integrity, availability and security of Oracle databases. The role includes planning, development, and troubleshooting, as well as ensuring data remains consistent, secure, and accessible. Key Responsibilities:

  • Install, configure, and upgrade Oracle databases and related tools.
  • Monitor and optimize database performance, availability, and security.
  • Manage database storage, backup/recovery strategies, and disaster recovery plans.
  • Perform regular database tuning and health checks.
  • Create and maintain database documentation, procedures, and standards.
  • Implement and monitor data replication and high availability configurations.
  • Collaborate with development and infrastructure teams on database design and optimization.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve database-related issues in a timely manner.
  • Ensure compliance with security and privacy standards.
Required Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
  • 1-2 years of experience as an Oracle DBA in a production environment.
  • Strong knowledge of Oracle RDBMS architecture and administration tools.
  • Proficiency in SQL, PL/SQL, and performance tuning techniques.
  • Familiarity with Oracle Enterprise Manager and monitoring tools.
  • Understanding of network, storage, and server architecture as it relates to database systems.
  • Ability to work independently and in a team-oriented, collaborative environment.
